As stated before, every other hardware component (besides the computer / monitor / pointing device) may be determined and/or defined by the application. In other words, before you decide to include any other hardware device, you really need to determine the purpose of the application. In a way, this is somewhat like the "chicken and the egg" (which comes first?).
